to get $10.00 per ticket back to

proposed the new budget. State Office

Precinct Caucus on Tuesday
3-7-06 at 7:00pm. Rolling Prairie Chapter donated 1 ticket the their chili feed
on March 25, 06, in St. James.
Membership & Retention Report - Kenny - Donny Smith Bike Show is
March 25 & 26. Membership meeting
on 3-25-06 in St. James at 3:30. Rally meeting is at 4:00. New Tri-Folds are
out. The difference is an "opt-out" for Motorcycle Pac that has to be
singed if the person does not want to donate.
Motorcycle Riders Foundation Report - Todd- Heartland Steam is April
28-29. A gathering of motorcycle
rights groups to discuss motorcycle rights issues and a fund raiser for
M.R.F. which needs approximately
$1,000+ per day to run it's office in Washington. Please talk to Todd if
interested in going. John Kline is
having a fundraiser at Bench Warmer Bob's on March 13. Mark Kennedy is having a
fundraiser on 3-11
with Elizabeth Dole at O'Guerra's at 7:30pm. M.R.F. has a PAC. A 6 page document
for the layman regarding
the new EPA regulations is available. The EPA want to allow 1 kit bike per
person and you cannot sell it for
five years, and can only ride it to motorcycle shows. NHTSA is trying to pass a
national helmet law.
Government Relations Report - Mike-Biker Day at the State Capital 3-8-06.
E-Mails have been sent to
news media. This is our big chance to let our legislatures know what and how we
feel about our issues and to
tell them how they will vote on our issues.

President's Committee for Increasing Meeting Attendance-Popeye-Jim Kosse
reporting-Nancy Dibbs
won the $5.00 off on chapter merchandise. Shad and Ken won door prizes and
Batman won $25.00 off Ink
and Tattoo.
MN Safety Advisory Committee-Mike- Next meeting in two weeks. NHTSA has
already been thru Minn. to
gather data but did not meet with the safety committee. Tom Workman has info.
NHTSA is trying to get a national
helmet law and is hand picking the people to talk to. Tom Workman is keeping
watch of minutes of NHTSA
meetings so they are reported correctly and are not being edited. 651-296-2146
to order the book listing all our congressmen.
Public Relations Report - Mitch - Has photo book to view. Has Course
guide for safety course. Has combined
all the Toys for Tots videos into one CD or VCR tapes. If you want one they are
$7.50 ea. Motion to reimburse
Mitch $69.44 for the Toys for Tots CD-Fred. 2nd-Charm. Voted-Hands-Passed.
Hospitality Room- Motion to pay
for Lake Chapter Hospitality Room at Abate U for Friday and Saturday
nights-Becky. 2nd-Ken.
Voted-Hands-Passed.
Products Report - Keith - Chapter Calendars are $15.00 ea. Has 100 Bob
Moy patches.
Special Events Report - Rosa-Thanks for coming to the Grounded Hogs
Party. Special thanks to our Special
Events Committee. It was a big success because of you. Spring Run is May 20.
Advance tickets will be available
at Abate U. We will use 3x5 cards to stamp instead of the tickets. We will throw
darts thru out the run. We are
working on the routes now. Our next meeting is at Sheila Knee 's house on
March 25. We will have fewer
bar stops with longer rides in between stops. We will have a food stop probably
at the end with door prizes and
more dart throws at the end. Motion to run full page in May-Lee, 2nd-Noma.
Voted- Passed-Hands. Motion to
set aside 10% of ticket sale -advance and at the door for Spring and Fall Runs
and Grounded Hogs Party and
split that money between Motorcycle Pac and MRF-Becky. 2nd-Stroke. Todd-Split
between motorcycle rights
50/50. Voted-Passed-Hands. We need someone to help with the dart throw.
Lee- With each run we will be registering miles. Start with Spring run and end
with the Fall Run. We will record
the most miles and the least run for five years. The winner will be announced at
the Grounded Hogs Party. A patch
will be given with the Lake Chapter logo with a tire for the most miles and the
same with a flat tire for the least miles.
Motion to get this going-Keith. 2nd-Smoker. Memorial Run is May 27. Let Batman
know if you think of anyone
who need to be on the route. Karen and Buz will let us have a gathering at their
place after the run. We will have a
chapter flag for us to place at the gravesites. Batman-Let me know where the
cemetery of loved ones are located.
State Rally Report - Becky-The bands for State Rally have been selected.
14 bands. Sponsorships are coming in.
The committee will be contacting past sponsors. Two promo tickets will be
awarded to the person who brings in the
most sponsors and a plaque will go the Chapter who brings in the most total
sponsors. Our S.W. District Director
would like to see chapters become sponsors. The Promo tickets based on those
sponsorships would be awarded
based on everybody who attends a meeting will put their name in a hat and every
meeting a name would be drawn.
The person who wins the ticket has to use it or give it to somebody else. Only
one ticket per winner. Glacial Ridge
and Way West as Chrome $250.00 sponsorship and South Central is $500.00
sponsorship. Motion to be a $500.00 Sponsorship-Noma. 2nd-Mary. Much discussion.
Voted-Passed-Hands. Motion to accept all committee reports-Ken, 2nd-Noma.

Old Business: Adopt the highway sign can have only 28 digits. Motion to
leave the sign alone-Lee, 2nd-mitch voted-passed-hands. Todd has Smiley's Wheel
chair and needs help delivering it. Matt needs help with tables for
Donny Smith Bike Show. Lee will deliver the Flag to Bootleggers.
New Business: Call for nominees for officers by Jim. Becky, Ken, and Lee
selected to count vote. Member of the
Year ballots passed out and voted on. Audra to count ballots and order plaque to
be given out during the April Meeting. Vote for only two Sergeant at arms.
Motion to renew MRF membership-Charm, 2nd-Matt. voted-passed-hands. Too
Tall asked to not be voted for member of the Year. Camp Friendship-Motion to
meet at Sturgis Park at 5:30pm in
Buffalo on the first Wednesday of June to go to Camp Friendship-Keith, 2nd-Noma.
June 14, 2006, Flag Day. voted-passed-hands. Motion to give away bandanas at
Camp Friendship-Keith, 2nd- Stroke. motion tabled. Todd will
work with Camp Friendship to set it up. Motion to ABATE U chapter challenge for
$250.00-Dawn, 2nd-Gabby. voted-passed-hands. Meeting locations-Motion to have
April meeting at Smackdowns (Full Moon) at 4:00pm-Noma, 2nd-Mike. Motion to have
